Adultery is a sad moral failing that has existed throughout history at all levels of society. One person cheats on her/his/their partner, and the other spouse or romantic lover may even cheat back. This breaks trust, and the relationship itself often spirals into a freefall as each partner becomes suspicious of each other and moves into separate corners. Sometimes there is not even hard proof of the cheating, but one of the two lovers has a strong suspicion, and they hire an adultery private detective and/or locate the best cheating spouse polygraph examiner to conduct marital infidelity lie detector tests to help get to the truth.
There are many pros and cons when you locate an infidelity polygraph examiner or find the best cheating spouse private investigator to help you with infidelity issues. Which one you choose will depend on your situation, budget, and desired outcomes. Some of our clients end up hiring both eventually, because their needs and desires evolve. Below we shall explore the pros and cons of each.
There are many benefits for opting to locate the best cheating spouse private investigator to help you see if your lover or other romantic or sexual partner is being unfaithful to you. Many people with larger budgets choose this option for the following reasons:
Unlike when you hire a polygraph examiner to help you, our PIs, while fallible, can do their work discreetly. Polygraphs require voluntary consent, and the examinee must meet certain requirements to even qualify to take the exam. We should note that POIs can still discover our unfaithful spouse private detective following them though, but it does not happen with great frequency.
Following a person around is an especially great option, when the potential cheater would or indeed does not agree to take a polygraph. Surveillance does not require consent but lie detector tests do.
As noted elsewhere on this page, people who fail polygraphs sometimes dispute their accuracy because they are not one hundred percent accurate. This leaves loopholes for them to deny culpability and shift blame, responsibility, etc., onto others or to reference “coincidences” or their partner’s “paranoia” as deflecting mechanisms. Indeed, sometimes coincidences do occur, and some lovers are paranoid, and cheating spouse polygraph tests can and sometimes do come back with results that reflect false negatives or false positives. Surveillance private investigators do not have to deal with this.
Artificial intelligence aside, photos and videos do not lie. If we obtain clear photos and/or videos of a POI kissing, holding hands with, or otherwise interacting with another individual that indicates adultery, then our client can use this in court and can confront her/his/their spouse with irrefutable evidence. This is a definite pro/benefit that these types of investigative services can offer.
As mentioned elsewhere on this page, people must be able and willing to take a polygraph examination to determine whether they cheated on their lover. Our licensed private eyes need no such consent and can freely follow anyone they want around and investigate them. This is a definite advantage that surveillance has over lie detector tests as an investigative technique aimed at determining whether marital infidelity occurred.
Formal, written reports are available for both civil and criminal private investigation results. Polygraphs have them as an option as well, so both choices come with something you can take with you that clearly states the outcomes in a readable format.
When you need your lover/partner to take an unfaithful spouse polygraph, the person will need to voluntarily make a trip to the office to complete it. This is because our examiner must hook up the person to the machine and ask a series of questions to help determine whether the person is honest or deceptive. This is not the case for surveillance investigations for cheating spouses.
Our private investigation agency can gladly send its staff out wherever you want them to go to conduct surveillance on your wife, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, or nonbinary partner. We will not inform them or anyone else ahead of time, because it is immoral and illegal under Oklahoma’s laws. You can even send us all their information and the dates, times, and locations you want us to watch via e-mail from the comfort of your own home, office, or other setting. We do not require in-person office visits.
As with any professional legal service, there are also downsides to surveillance private investigations. Some of the cons/downsides to having us go to watch your spouse/partner include, but are not limited to, the following:
Whenever we go out to follow someone to see where they are going and what they will do, which people they meet, and the time they go, it is always possible for us to lose them. Even the best-trained licensed PIs are infallible, and it is possible that our legal staff can lose them in traffic or at a stop light/sign. This does happen sometimes, despite our best training and efforts.
It is understood that it costs more to conduct surveillance for adultery than it does for our polygraphists to run polygraph tests. There is often an incredibly considerable time difference involved in the two types of work, and even though both professions require specialized training and licensing the time factor with surveillance raises the costs.
Our polygraph examiners can complete infidelity tests the same day, usually within a couple hours for the entire process. Completing surveillance for cheating spouse private investigations has indeed only taken thirty minutes before, but that is by far the exception and is not the rule. Most of these types of private investigations take at least four hours and are up to fifty or one hundred hours.
Our private investigation agency usually starts out with about sixteen hours of time, mileage, videos, and photos to start out. Indeed, that is the average minimum amount of time it takes to complete these types of investigations. Each case is different and varies based upon a wide variety of factors and circumstances.
While polygraph examinations are not perfect, the results are very dependable and accurate. Our legal staff provides the results following the completion of the tests, and clients can choose verbal results only for a cheaper cost or can ask for a written report for an additional one hundred dollar or so fee. Results, while not one hundred percent accurate but which remain very dependable and valid, is something our legal firm can guarantee. Surveillance, on the other hand, is not something any licensed private eye can absolutely guarantee definitive results for.
The person of interest might not do anything “bad” while we are out watching her/him/them. They may stay at home or might have even caught on to the surveillance private investigation itself. This does not necessarily mean they are not out engaging in cheating behavior. It just means that they did not do anything wrong during the time we conducted unfaithful spouse private investigations. Thus, a client can spend thousands of dollars and potentially still not know whether their romantic and/or sexual partner is cheating on them. This is a definite downside to PI work.
People of interest can also discover the unfaithful spouse private investigator’s efforts. This is especially true if they are savvy or have suspicious, paranoid personalities. We train our staff to not follow too closely and to park as far away as possible when not moving and watching a location, but when we stay too far away, we also risk losing the POI in traffic or at a stoplight/stop sign. Doing this type of work involves a delicate balancing act.
There are some significant pros or benefits to choosing a lie detector test to help determine if marital infidelity occurred. It is important for clients to carefully consider if the benefits of polygraphs outweigh their associated disadvantages/cons. Each client’s situation is different, so their needs may vary. Thus, the pros/benefits for these examinations include, but are not limited to, the following:
In addition to taking less time to complete, polygraph tests are also cheaper than completing surveillance private investigations. We can have the test finished and the results back to the clients the same day. Surveillance takes hours of time and can potentially stretch out over days, weeks, or months.
While not perfectly accurate, our polygraphs offer test results the same day following successful completion of the examination. Surveillance, as noted above, can potentially stretch out over days, weeks, or months. There are some shorter cases that we can complete in a few hours, but most take longer than that to properly complete.
Much like with unfaithful spouse investigations, our Oklahoma polygraph examiners can also provide results for their services the same day as well. These results can be verbally only for a smaller fee, or in writing for a slightly higher cost.
Unlike with adultery private investigations, the results of cheating spouse polygraphs are instantaneous. We can have the verbal results back right after we finish the test, and if you want written results, we usually have them done within a day or two. Then you can make your decision about your next steps thereafter.
Private eyes can also write up written reports about things like surveillance, catfishing, etc., but we usually write these up after the completion of all our services, if desired. Otherwise, we make updates every time we get new information in the client portal system called Trackops. Clients can view the latest photos, videos, and written, informal updates there any time they like.
Unlike surveillance where the POI hopefully does not know it is taking place, only willing, voluntary participants may take a polygraph test. Otherwise, these assessments will not work. Securing the needed cooperation from the other person is sometimes one of the biggest obstacles to getting such a test done.
Whereas videos and photos of a person which clearly indicate relationship infidelity, such as kissing, sexual intercourse, holding hands, etc., are very possible to obtain during surveillance, lie detector tests are not one hundred percent accurate. While very dependable and still highly accurate, people who take the test and fail it sometimes come back and claim the test is “rigged” or that they received a false positive.
Indeed, while rare, false positives that show a person was deceptive when she/he/they was/were telling the truth or a false negative that showed no deception when they person was lying are rare. They can and sometimes do happen, but they do not occur very often. Because of this, courts do not typically allow polygraph results into trials as evidence, and people who get unfavorable test results sometimes try to dispute them.
You can opt for surveillance on your spouse or other romantic/sexual partner from the privacy and convenience of your own home if you wish, or you may come into the office. Our legal firm can manage the uploading of evidence and other needed case information all online without the need for an office visit if you prefer not to. Many clients choose this method because it saves them time and energy.
On the other hand, our lie detector tests typically require an office visit. Our firm does not usually travel to homes or places of work to conduct the tests, though it is something we may consider for an extra fee. Even then, the area where we do the polygraphs in Del City must meet certain requirements for noise, space, and privacy, so not all travel locations our clients want us to go to are possible for us to go to.
Even if a potential examinee is able and willing to consent to take a polygraph test, it does not mean they qualify to do so. If they are under the age of sixteen, are pregnant, are pathological liars, have certain physical or medical conditions, etc., they will not receive an opportunity to take the examination. This is a downside to opting for a polygraph.
Surveillance does not require consent or qualifiers to do. Thus, in this way there is a definite benefit to doing unfaithful spouse private investigations instead of opting for a cheating spouse polygraph test. As we have explained though, both methods and investigative techniques come with their sets of pros and cons.
Whereas our clients can often hire us to do surveillance very discreetly, polygraphs are not discreet because they require voluntary consent. Thus, if the client desires privacy and does not yet want her/his/their spouse to know she/he/they suspect(s) cheating, then it is best for them to opt for surveillance private investigations instead.
Keep in mind though that POIs can and sometimes do still catch onto out PIs who are following them all around and who wait outside their home/office, etc. Getting “burned” or otherwise “discovered” is not something that happens to our legal professionals very often though. Surveillance remains the best method for discreetly finding out if someone is indeed engaging in marital infidelity.
Polygraphs work by having our legal team connect the individual to a device that monitors a person’s bodily response while giving answers to certain questions of interest. These can tell how things like blood pressure/heart rate, breathing rate, levels of skin sweating, etc., change or stay the same while giving these responses. When people lie, all these things tend to increase, so the results indicate deception. After the lie detector test work is finished, the polygraphist in The Village, Oklahoma can provide the results to the test taker and other clients.
People choose to hire the best polygraphist, because they want something quick, easy, and affordable. They trust the accuracy and know our legal firm is number one in holding the highest standards of excellence, quality, and affordability. Our clients also prefer the pros our tests offer, and they feel these benefits outweigh the cons and/or the pros that surveillance private investigations offer.
As of the date of this publication, you can typically expect to pay about five hundred and fifty dollars for a polygraph without a written report/verbal results only and about a hundred dollars more if you desire a written report as well. Our prices consistently rank lower than other firms in the area, and our legal professionals remained better trained and educated.
Tests which deal with sensitive topics involving sexual assault, child sexual abuse, child pornography, etc., cost extra because it often means our polygraph examiner in Broken Arrow, OK will end up with a subpoena to go to court. Thus, we must provide these legal professionals with the additional, well-deserved financial compensation needed to successfully complete the job and the other aspects it will often involve outside of the rape polygraph itself.
